Delivery Terms & Conditions
Please read the following terms carefully before placing your order:
Standard Auckland Delivery Area – $68 Flat Rate
The flat-rate shipping fee of $68 applies only to deliveries within the Auckland region, specifically between Silverdale and Takanini, as shown in the map below.

These deliveries are carried out using our own trucks.
Delivery to Hamilton – $108 Flat Rate
The flat-rate shipping fee of $108 applies for orders delivered to Hamilton.
Outside Standard Delivery Area
For addresses outside our Auckland delivery zone (other than Hamilton), the shipping costs will not be accurately calculated at checkout. There may be an extra charge.
We will check the cost manually with our freight partner, Mainfreight, and advise you of any extra charges before proceeding.
Order Dispatch & Payment
Orders will only be dispatched once any additional shipping costs have been confirmed and paid.
Order Cancellation
If you do not wish to proceed with the additional delivery charge, you may cancel your order before dispatch and receive a full refund.
Returns, Refunds & Warranty Policy
At SD Aluminium, we supply aluminium fencing, gates, security doors, security windows, entrance doors, WPC fencing, balustrades, and related building products throughout New Zealand. Many of our products are manufactured, ordered, or prepared to specific sizes, colours, and configurations. Due to their nature, these products cannot be returned for resale once supplied.
1. No Returns for Change of Mind
SD Aluminium does not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds for change-of-mind purchases.
This includes situations where:
– You change your mind after placing an order;
– You order the wrong product, size, colour, quantity, or specification;
– The product is no longer required;
– Incorrect measurements were provided;
– Building or installation requirements change after purchase;
– Delivery has already been arranged or completed.
Customers are responsible for ensuring all product details, measurements, specifications, and quantities are correct before placing an order.
2. Products That Cannot Be Returned or Refunded
Unless a product has a confirmed manufacturing defect or quality issue, the following products are non-returnable and non-refundable:
– Aluminium fence panels;
– Aluminium gates;
– Sliding gates;
– Swing gates;
– Pool fencing;
– Commercial fencing systems;
– WPC fencing products;
– Balustrades and railing systems;
– Security doors;
– Security windows;
– Entrance doors;
– Custom-made products;
– Special-order products;
– Products manufactured to customer-supplied dimensions;
– Powder-coated products ordered in specific colours;
– Cut-to-size materials;
– Clearance, discounted, promotional, or sale items.
3. Quality Issues and Defective Products
If a product supplied by SD Aluminium has a manufacturing defect, quality issue, or has been supplied incorrectly, please notify us within 7 days of receiving the goods.
To submit a claim, please provide:
– Bring the product or materials back to one of our branches for inspection;
– Provide proof of purchase;
– Provide your order number;
After assessment, SD Aluminium may, at its discretion:
– Repair the product;
– Replace the product;
– Provide a refund for the defective product; or
– Provide store credit.
Any remedy will be limited to the affected product only.
4. Product Check Upon Delivery or Collection
Customers are responsible for checking all products upon delivery or collection.
Any shortages, damage, incorrect items, or manufacturing defects must be reported within 7 days of receipt.
Claims submitted after this period may not be accepted.
5. Installation and Labour Costs
SD Aluminium is not responsible for:
– Installation costs;
– Removal costs;
– Labour charges;
– Contractor fees;
– Project delays;
– Consequential or indirect losses arising from product issues.
Products should be thoroughly inspected before installation.
Products that have been installed are generally deemed accepted unless a hidden manufacturing defect is identified.
6. Warranty
SD Aluminium warrants that products supplied will be free from manufacturing defects at the time of delivery.
This warranty does not cover:
– Incorrect installation;
– Incorrect measurements supplied by the customer;
– Improper handling, storage, or maintenance;
– Accidental damage;
– Product modifications;
– Normal wear and tear;
– Environmental or chemical exposure outside normal operating conditions.
7. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights available under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or any other applicable New Zealand legislation.
Where required by law, SD Aluminium will meet its obligations regarding defective products and applicable consumer guarantees.
